From Fear to Faith

John 20:19–31

On the evening of the first Easter, the disciples were hiding behind locked doors, gripped by fear and uncertainty. Yet into that very place, Jesus came and stood among them, saying, “Peace be with you.”

He did not wait for their faith to be strong. He met them in their weakness.

He showed them His wounds—the marks of the cross—reminding them that His peace was not empty words, but something He had secured through His sacrifice.

When Thomas doubted, Jesus did not reject him. Instead, He invited him closer. And Thomas responded with faith: “My Lord and my God!”

This passage reminds us that Jesus still meets us today—in our fears, in our doubts, and in our struggles. He comes not with condemnation, but with peace.

And to all who believe without seeing, He gives this promise:
“Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

No matter where you are today, the risen Christ stands near and says:
“Peace be with you.”
